Posterschau der Projektarbeit Einführung in die Verfahrenstechnische Produktion (PeP)

Am 22. Januar 2024 fand die Posterpräsentation der Erstsemester im RCP am Südcampus der TU Dortmund statt. Die Studierenden der Fakultät BCI präsentierten ihre Ansätze zu aktuellen Herausforderungen und Megatrends in der Prozessindustrie. Hierbei wurde Fragen nachgegangen, wie ein mögliches Recycling von PET-Flaschen, die Nutzung von Wasserstoff für die Energiewende und wie Bakterien bei der Sanierung nach Ölkatastrophen helfen können. Die Antworten sind von den Studierenden in Form von Postern anschaulich aufbereitet worden.

Die Veranstaltung, organisiert von der Arbeitsgruppe Apparatedesign, wurde mit einer Rede von Dr. Ralph Kleinschmidt von der thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH eröffnet. Dr. Kleinschmidt sprach über die Gestaltung einer nachhaltigen Energiewende mit Ammoniak als Energieträger. Im Anschluss hatten die Studierenden die Möglichkeit, ihre Ergebnisse mit Professor:innen und Kommiliton:innen zu diskutieren. Die drei inhaltlich und formal gelungensten Poster wurden bei der Siegerehrung ausgezeichnet (siehe Foto). Der Preis für das beste Poster ging an T. Gebbeken, F. Lerche, M. Pophusen, D. Rhaoulia und J. Xu für das Poster „Aquaponik, Urban Farming und der Stickstoffkreislauf“. Den zweiten Preis erhielten C. Mittelstaedt, L. Lohoff, L. Pundt, N. König und S.N. Sabuncu (Recycling von Lithium-Batterien (LiB) in Deutschland) und der dritte Preis wurde vergeben an B. Bay, C. Becker, E. Ceylan, H. De Luca und Z. Xu (Wasserstoffnutzung im Power-to-X-Bereich). Die Preise in Form von Goodie-Bags wurden vom Sponsor thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH bereitgestellt.

Poster show of the Project work: Introduction to process engineering (PeP)

On 22 January 2024, the poster presentation of the first semester students took place in the RCP at the South Campus of TU Dortmund University. The students from the BCI faculty presented their approaches to current challenges and megatrends in the process industry. They explored questions such as the possible recycling of PET bottles, the use of hydrogen for the energy transition and how bacteria can help with the clean-up after oil spills. The answers were clearly presented by the students in the form of posters.

The event, organised by the laboratory of equipment design, was opened with a speech by Dr Ralph Kleinschmidt from thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH. Dr Kleinschmidt spoke about the design of a sustainable energy transition using ammonia as an energy source. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to discuss their results with professors and fellow students. The three most successful posters in terms of content and form were honoured at the award ceremony (see photo). The prize for the best poster went to T. Gebbeken, F. Lerche, M. Pophusen, D. Rhaoulia and J. Xu for the poster "Aquaponics, Urban Farming and the Nitrogen Cycle". The second prize was awarded to C. Mittelstaedt, L. Lohoff, L. Pundt, N. König and S.N. Sabuncu (Recycling of Lithium Batteries (LiB) in Germany) and the third prize was awarded to B. Bay, C. Becker, E. Ceylan, H. De Luca and Z. Xu (hydrogen utilisation in the power-to-X sector). The prizes in the form of goodie bags were provided by the sponsor thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH.
