Curriculum Vitae

Since 2011 Mira Schmalenberg has studied chemical engineering at TU Dortmund University.  She passed her bachelor thesis “Investigation of influencing parameters on impregnation stability of the TAPPIR®-technology” at the Laboratory of Plant and Process Design. Following this, she supported Irene Kaplanow as a student assistant. During the master programme, she participated in the ChemCar competition 2016. She completed her master at the Laboratory of Equipment Design with the thesis “Design of a Modular Continuous Tubular Cooling Crystallizer for Process Development and Small-Scale Production“  in November 2017. In February 2018 she started as a research associate in the ENPRO-TeiA project at the Laboratory of Equipment Design.

Research

To ensure short time-to-market it is essential that modular, intelligent and interconnected appliances are designed. Within the project ENPRO 2.0 – TeiA different crystallizers and extraction columns will be investigated to evaluate these demands. Additionally, the automation via smart sensors and data processing should be implemented to enable an efficient and intelligent interconnection and modification of the modules.
